13 members of our family gathered at the House at Castle Rock to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was the perfect house, pristine, functional and seemingly designed for a group like ours. The nine-person hot tub and sauna were big hits as was the large kitchen with adequate space for multiple cooks and little helpers. Bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. Four of our grand kids stayed in and loved the bunk room. Lara and her dad set the highest standard for hospitality, kindness, and timely response to questions. And it was the perfect location - just a two-minute walk down to the Arch Cape beach which we could see and hear from the house. The beach is incredible. Puddle-jumping, long walks, and sunset fires on the beach will never be forgotten. A big surprise for us was our first experience with surf perch fishing. These 9-11 inch surf perch went for our artificial sand worms in a big way as the tide came in, providing two full meals for us and some very happy smiles on all who fished. The House at Castle Rock is a place where family memories are made on the beautiful Oregon coast. Our family rents a vacation home every summer. We easily and gladly give this property five stars and our highest recommendation.

Our family of 9 from around the country got together at this wonderful House at Castle Rock for their dad’s 80th birthday. We spent a week enjoying the house and Arch Cape. Our stay was made better by all the special features of this house. Loved the upstairs deck, hot tub fire pit wonderful bedrooms and baths, etc. Having 2 stoves, 2 dishwashers and 2 sinks made it perfect for a group. We will definitely return!!!

We had a wonderful family reunion in this amazing place. Lara has done a great job setting up this home with everything you need for a relaxed vacation. It is spacious and has an abundance of kitchen supplies, dishes, utensils, glasses, pots and pans, etc. It is well equipped with towels and soft and luxurious bedding as well. We enjoyed the hot tub both evenings we were there. I can't think of anything we were missing all weekend and appreciated this home filled with top-of-the-line furnishings and amenities. We left there with very happy memories from a fabulous weekend! Thank you Lara!
This home is heaven! Every little detail is absolutely perfect! There is nothing the owners did not think of! I can't wait to go back!
We had 14 people in our group and there was plenty of room for us all. We all had our own space and were very comfortable!
The owner Lara is amazing to work with. She's so kind and answered every question we had; she was always willing to help!
Thank you for an incredible experience that we will cherish forever!

This location was a large hit with our family. We celebrated my parents 70th wedding anniversary with family members coming in from Alabama and North Carolina as well as Washington State. Everything that we could possible need was there for us. All the rooms were very spacious and having bedrooms on multiple levels really helped with those that had issue with stairs. The views were fantastic and it is located on a very quite street so you could really enjoy being at the beach. This vacation was such a hit that now everyone is thinking about coming back again. Lara, thank you so much for everything.

Our extended family just spent an amazing week here. The home is beautiful, with wonderful views of the coast and easy beach access. There is something for everyone—hot tub, sauna, ping pong table, fire pit, gas grill, chef’s kitchen and more—our group aged 5 to 75 were all happy here. The attention to detail was unparalleled—we felt like a concierge had taken care of our every need—coffee, nice towels, beach towels, a kitchen better equipped than mine at home, laundry detergent, shampoos, soaps, even roasting sticks for marshmallows and s’mores. I have rented lots of vacation homes in the US and Canada, and this was by far the nicest and best experience. Thank you Lara for taking such good care of us.
We spent a wonderful weekend at this truly amazing house, and had the best time. The location of the house just miles from Cannon Beach allowed us to go to town and enjoy all it has to offer, while being in Arch Cape gave us wonderful quiet, private time. Best of both worlds.
The house is laid out really well and is stocked with everything you could want. And it is well kept and clean. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and fire-pit, and are looking forward to trying out the sauna next time we are there.
Booking was easy, and Lara was amazing to work with. Very accommodating and friendly.
I could go on and on, but I will simply end by saying that this is a great find, and we intend to be back often!

This house is incredible. This was our second trip to Arch Cape and second house by the same owner(Lara is awesome!). Both things did not disappoint!! This Castle Rock house is a wood masterpiece, along with an updated kitchen and baths and beautifully appointed furnishings and beds. Everyone in our party commented on how well they slept due to the amazing beds and linens. You can view the ocean/beach from multiple rooms and both decks. The back patio was a place to escape the wind and enjoy the sun or when the sun goes down, enjoy a fire or the HUGE hot tub. We traveled with a 4 yr old and 1 yr old and having pack n plays and a high chair already there AND a master suite with attached bunk room was more than perfect!! The washer/dryer are also a must with kids those ages too! The beach access worked well for both the oldest and youngest in our group. Though Cannon Beach and Manzanita are a short drive away, the house is so accommodating and comfortable, you never want to leave!! The family time spent together making memories is what makes this house and Arch Cape such a wonderful destination. We will be back!

Great views, comfy rooms, plenty of space for multiple families. Close proximity to the ocean (across the street) and just down the road from Cannon Beach. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and sauna after chilly, rainy days.

Our second stay in this gorgeous house was every bit as impressive as our first stay just 6 months ago. This time most of our family was there including 4 grand children. We really appreciated the layout of the bedrooms in separating the energy of and early morning rising of the grand children. All the adults commented on how comfortable the beds were. At home we are early risers (4:30 am) but in Arch Cape these beds made it easy to still find ourselves asleep at 8 am. The layout of, combined with the appliances and cookware in the kitchen made it easy to prepare and clean up after large family meals..There is an impressive array of all the cookware we needed. The hot tub was freshly cleaned and appreciated by adults and kids alike as was the sauna. Several late chilly nights sitting around the fire pit were full of reminiscing and laughter. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and efficient for those of us who still had to conduct some business while there. Access to the beach is quick and easy and with the tide going out it is easy to walk or run for miles on the beach. Just watch the tide or get a bit wet coming back as our grandson discovered. A quiet beach, plenty of parking and easy access to Canon Beach make this a great location for a family get-a-way. We all loved our stay there and we plan to return again next year and quite possibly this fall with three other couples. Lara (an owner) continues to be very responsive to any comments or concerns you might have while staying here. Of all the rental homes we have ever stayed in they definitely set the bar for thoughtfulness, cleanliness and furnishings.
