A weekend dedicated to celebrating artists and their newest works in the Cannon Beach galleries. Unveillings, demonstrations and receptions will take place all weekend long throughout the town. Come be among the first to be awed by the newest works of the many talented artists represented in Cannon Beach!
The oldest competition of its kind, the Cannon Beach Sand Castle Contest has been a long-standing tradition. Categories are made up of professionals, amateurs and families, creating a fun mixture of ideas and styles. Extra activities of the weekend include a bonfire with live music and a 5K run.
Taking place every Tuesday afternoon in the summer, the Cannon Beach Farmer's Market brings together locals and tourists alike to browse offerings of fruits and vegetables, nuts and salts, flowers and breads. Food trucks and live music invite you to sit and stay awhile.
If there's one day of the year you want to be in a coastal town, the 4th of July is it!
Begin the day with a pancake breakfast followed by a festive parade featuring the first station, local businesses, and even whole neighborhoods from the Cannon Beach area. Stop by the firestation to say hi to local law enforcement and have them BBQ you a hot dog. Fly a kite or hike to Indian Beach in the afternoon. End the day with a bonfire on the beach or by watching the sunset from Ecola State Park. Or go north to Seaside or south to Rockaway to take in their wonderful fireworks displays!
