A weekend dedicated to celebrating artists and their newest works in the Cannon Beach galleries. Unveillings, demonstrations and receptions will take place all weekend long throughout the town. The oldest competition of its kind, the Cannon Beach Sand Castle Contest has been a long-standing tradition. Categories are made up of professionals, amateurs and families, creating a fun mixture of ideas and styles. Extra activities of the weekend include a bonfire with live music and a 5K run.

Begin the day with a pancake breakfast followed by a festive parade featuring the first station, local businesses, and even whole neighborhoods from the Cannon Beach area. Stop by the fire station to say hi to local law enforcement and have them BBQ you a hot dog. Fly a kite or hike to Indian Beach in the afternoon. End the day with a bonfire on the beach or by watching the sunset from Ecola State Park. Or go north to Seaside or south to Rockaway to take in their wonderful fireworks displays!
A 35 year old tradition, Stormy Arts Festival is held during the first weekend of November. This festival features gallery events and musical performances in a weekend that is filled with artist demonstrations and art classes. Cannon Beach is recognized as one of the top 100 art towns of the country. Come experience for yourself this creatively-filled weekend!
